Business Legal Expenses Insurance

Business Legal Expenses Insurance covers organisations for legal costs up to a specified limit of limit of indemnity arising named events.

The legal costs can include solicitors’ and barristers’ fees, court costs, expenses for expert witness, attendance expenses, accountants’ fees and employment compensation awards.

The named events covered are usually:-

  • Employment Dispute and Compensation Awards
  • Legal Defence – covering certain named defence costs
  • Property Protection and Bodily Injury
  • Statutory Licence Protection
  • Tax Protection

Contract  Disputes is not always included as standard but is usually available as an optional cover, subject to a minimum and/or maximum dispute value.

Claims have to be dealt with strictly in accordance with the procedures set out in the policy for a claim to be successfully submitted.
